01 / Agreement and operator

These Terms govern your use of carvumi.com and related Carvumi tools (the “Service”). “Carvumi,” “we,” and “our” mean the owner and operator of the Service. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Operator identification: The operator can be contacted through the Carvumi contact page. The legal operator’s identity will be supplied where applicable law requires.

02 / Who may use Carvumi

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and older in the United States. By creating an account or purchasing a service, you represent that you are at least 18 and can enter a binding agreement. You must provide accurate information where needed and use the Service lawfully.

03 / Educational estimates; no financial advice

Carvumi provides tools for general research, educational comparisons, budgeting and vehicle ownership decisions. Carvumi is not a lender, bank, credit bureau, insurance agency, licensed vehicle appraiser, automobile dealer, or fiduciary financial adviser. We do not make credit decisions, approve financing, guarantee equity, or negotiate with dealers for you.

Payments, depreciation, loan balances, equity, insurance, taxes and market assumptions are approximate and can differ from real offers or outcomes. Vehicle values are user-entered unless a specific verified integration states otherwise. Confirm loan, lease, dealer, insurance, tax and payoff details with the actual provider. Lease transfers and third-party buyouts may have restrictions. Do not rely exclusively on Carvumi when making material financial decisions.

04 / Accounts and security

You can use certain tools as a guest. Cloud accounts are available only when the account backend is configured and operational. If you register, you are responsible for safeguarding access to your email account, sign-in links and devices. Notify us of suspected unauthorized access. We may restrict access for abuse or security reasons consistent with applicable law.

Guest records can be stored locally in the browser; clearing device storage may erase them. Cloud syncing, when available, is not a substitute for keeping backups of important records. Purchased reports currently may only be recoverable on the same device; checkout and recovery terms will be disclosed before payment activation.

05 / Payments and digital reports

Free tools do not require a payment. If paid products become available, the purchase screen will disclose the price, what is included, whether the charge is one-time or recurring, and any applicable taxes before you authorize payment. The proposed Decision Report price is $9.99 per report, but it is not an active public offer until checkout is enabled and tested.

Any subscription will show its renewal frequency, cancellation process, and applicable terms before purchase. Carvumi does not currently represent that any planned Plus or Premium subscription has been activated. Payment processing may be handled by Stripe and subject to Stripe's separate terms.

06 / Refunds and problems with a purchase

When paid reports are launched, please contact support promptly if payment succeeds but the report is inaccessible, materially defective, or charged in error. Refunds will be handled according to the disclosed checkout terms and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable statutory refund or consumer rights.

07 / User content and permitted use

You retain rights to vehicle descriptions, figures and images you submit, to the extent you own them. You grant Carvumi a limited license to store, process, reproduce and display those materials only as necessary to deliver and improve the Service under the Privacy Policy. You must have rights to uploaded photos and must not submit another person's private financial data without permission.

You may use the Service for lawful personal vehicle planning. You may not scrape the Service at scale, bypass payment or security controls, upload malware, impersonate others, or interfere with infrastructure. Automated access requires written permission.

08 / Carvumi content and intellectual property

The brand, original website materials, software and Service design are owned or licensed by Carvumi, subject to third-party rights and open-source licenses. These Terms do not transfer ownership or permission to reproduce the Service commercially. Third-party vehicle names and marks are used for identification and do not imply endorsement. Certain photographs are licensed from photographers and credited where used.

09 / Third-party providers and availability

The Service may integrate with Netlify (hosting and server functions), Supabase (optional authentication and private storage), Stripe (payments if enabled), or third-party automotive information suppliers. These providers have independent services and terms. We may change, suspend or discontinue features and may correct incorrect estimates. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free calculations, or the accuracy of third-party data.

10 / Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that any output is complete, current, accurate, or suitable for a particular transaction. You are responsible for independently confirming purchase and financing information.

To the extent permitted by law, Carvumi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses resulting from use of the Service. Any monetary liability limit should be reviewed by qualified counsel and established according to applicable law; we do not attempt to waive rights that cannot be waived. Nothing here excludes liability or remedies that applicable law prohibits us from excluding.

11 / Governing law and disputes

To the extent permitted by applicable law, disputes relating to these Terms are governed by the laws of Minnesota, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply in your jurisdiction remain in force. Before filing a claim, we encourage you to contact Carvumi with enough details for a reasonable attempt to resolve the issue.

12 / Updates and contact

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will publish a new effective date, and provide additional notice if legally required. Continued use after an applicable update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
